Francesco Sansivieri Jr. (1951-1999), a longtime community activist in Middle Village, died tragically. A cab he was riding in was struck by a logging truck in upstate New York. Sansivieri was a junior high school teacher at I.S. 73 and a widely respected community leader who fought for the preservation of Queens neighborhoods.
