Frank Justich (1968-2010) was an 11-year veteran of the New York City Department of Sanitation who was killed on duty when he was struck by a tractor-trailer. Following his death, Justich's badge number, 11444, was retired, and the Queens West 1 Garage where he worked was renamed the Frank Justich Garage. A married father of two, Justich was known for his friendliness and his talent for painting portraits.
