Firefighter Matthew E. Barnes Drive

Firefighter Matthew E. Barnes (b. 1963) died on September 11, 2001 during fire and rescue operations following the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. Barnes grew up in Maspeth‚ Queens and graduated from Grover Cleveland High School. He became a firefighter in March 1990 and received the Honor Legion Medal in 2000.
